SaddleBrooke One’s Architectural and Landscaping Committee, along with our Common Area Maintenance team, has been working for several years to identify and implement a variety of projects to beautify the community’s common areas.
Artwork on common walls, undated landscaping in various locations and new installations at the clubhouse entrance all add to the ambiance and pleasant environment of our community. One of the earlier projects was spearheaded by the Ceramics Club members who designed, created and worked with Common Area maintenance staff to get Lizzy, the lizard, installed on the wall at the corner of Ridgeview and Idlewind. Based on the community’s positive feedback, Mario Coelho, former CAM manager, reached out to SaddleBrooke’s creative community to see if there was interest in additional art installations in SB One common areas.

Tucson, AZ - August 9, 2025- Local artist Theresa Poalucci has been selected for inclusion in the prestigious "Meet the Artists" initiative by Homiens, an international arts organization dedicated to promoting exceptional contemporary artists worldwide. Her award-winning piece, Blooming Cactus (30" x 40*), will be showcased in the program's professionally curated e-booklet and on the Homiens website.

Artist of the Month

One of the newest members to SaddleBrooke Fine Arts Guild is Katherine Evans. Evans and her husband found SaddleBrooke in the way that many do. They were traveling all over, looking for places to consider retiring in. They visited some friends that were already here, came over the ridge on SaddleBrooke Blvd., saw the mountains, and the rest was history! Along with the views, they loved the golf courses, the activities available, and they felt that the people in the community were very welcoming.
Recently retiring in June, and arriving to SaddleBrooke in September 2023, Katherine has already joined a couple of local clubs, one being the “Knit Wits”, a group which knits baby blankets for foster kids. She also discovered the Art Guild, and has enjoyed participating in the Art Salon discussions, and attending the general meetings, as well.
