Palette (paper palette is fine but at least 11x14")

Container for washing brushes

Gamsol or Turpenoid

Paper towels

Trash bag

Sketchbook and soft pencil (8B is great or 9B)

Natural bristle brushes--flats #2,4 and 6 preferred

Palette knife

Small pocket mirror

Grey plastic view finder (if you don't have one, we'll talk about it in class)

Canvas panels--not stretched canvas--8 x 10 or 9 x 12, three of each

Camera

Important: A few favorite photos that you'd like to paint

Paints:

(note: please avoid Winton student grade colors if possible--if you already have them that's fine, but otherwise stick with Winsor Newton, Gamblin, Utrect, Rembrandt, etc.)

Cadmium yellow medium or deep

Cadmium Lemon Yellow

Cadmium orange

Cadmium red light

Quinacradone Rose or something close (Pthalo Red Rose)

Alizarin Crimson

Yellow ochre

Ultramarine Blue

Cobalt Blue

Viridian

Sap Green

Titanium White
