The Guild is an approved SaddleBrooke club with a governing set of by-laws, Board of Directors,
Committee Chairpersons, and membership of over 170 people.
Building on the strength
and enthusiasm of the previous team, the new Guild leadership will
continue its focus on a strong Education Program, interesting and
informative monthly meetings, and two yearly art shows.
The Guild’s objectives are
to increase art awareness, encourage art appreciation and participation,
and enhance art skills at all levels of development.
Since the membership includes artists at different skill levels
working in a variety of
media, our goal is to provide comprehensive opportunities for all to
work towards serious creative development.
We currently have three
Outreach Programs. The first
is at Desert Point at La Reserve, an assisted living facility.
A team of Guild members have been providing art workshops to the
residents for over three years. A second is at Splendido, a Continuing
Care Retirement Community.
The third, also staffed by Guild volunteers, is at the Catalina
Juvenile Facility. Outreach
is supported by the Guild and donations from community members.
At our monthly meetings
(the first Tuesday of each month September through May in the HOA#1
Activity Center), we have been fortunate to have presentations by
successful local and visiting artists.
The programs focus on a variety of styles, techniques, media, and
infused historical influences through demonstrations, lectures, and
hands-on workshops.
Becoming a member of the
Guild entitles you to receive e-mails on our classes and programs, to
participate in the Art Shows, to hang work in our two on-site galleries,
and to meet and interact with other SaddleBrooke artists.
We welcome new members and
visiting guests.
